Stenhouse Publishers started in 1993 with two employees in a one-room attic walk-up in York, Maine. That fall we published six titles. Today, more than a dozen employees work in our offices overlooking Monument Square in the heart of Portland, Maine. We now have a catalogue of more than 300 books and videos.

Position

The Sales Support Coordinator will report to the Sales Director and be based in our Portland, Me office. Stenhouse is expanding within the educational market and this role will be responsible for working with our external sales rep force, internal teams including marketing and customer service, managing and reporting on the sales pipeline, contributing to monthly sales forecasting discussions, management of RFPs, ensuring the delivery of products and marketing materials to the sales team, and attending trade shows as needed.

 

Responsibilities

Develop a depth of knowledge of all Stenhouse titles and authors in order to make appropriate recommendations for schools

Create quotes for sales reps and school districts as needed

Manage the sales support queue and distribute requests to appropriate internal team members

Work collaboratively with all internal departments

Collaborate with RFP team to complete district proposals

Track leads, orders, and input school personnel information into the CRM system

Report progress on a weekly basis to Sales Director

 

Qualifications

The position requires an understanding of the K-12 education market and content areas

Classroom experience is a plus

Solution sales experience in K-12 education is a plus

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently

Demonstrated attention to detail and strong follow-through

An ability to collaborate interdepartmentally with excellent communication skills

Travel may be required for national trade shows as needed

Familiarity with CRM or similar software preferred
