Data Integration Analyst

The Data Integration Analyst will provide development and support for data integration across the enterprise and manage the exchange, transformation and delivery of data between both internal and external business systems.  Under supervision, this person interfaces with customers and vendors to manage the flow of data and provide daily operational production support, and on-call support on a rotating basis.  This position would be responsible for the research and management of data issue tickets.

Core Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the business teams, participate in resolving issues and solving problems through the application of advanced, innovative, and eloquent IT solutions.
  • Develop data integration solutions, with knowledge in ETL, data integrations/data quality tools, SSIS in particular.
  • Perform or assist in data integration design and documentation.
  • Ability to read/write SQL and an understanding of database concepts, particularly MS SQL Server.
  • Maintain database quality and performance by identifying and resolving data conflicts, monitoring load processes, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with business teams to gain and maintain knowledge of business subject areas and with the Manager of Data Solutions to ensure alignment between these two.  Provide technical guidance, so that the group achieves all technology needs of our business.
  • Work with input and guidance from the Manager of Data Solutions, research, analyze, and stay current with existing and emerging IT technologies, tools, system/features, and methodologies, with thought to the justification and practical beneficial application/adoption by the business.
  • Continually grow IT tool and skills expertise (databases, and programming tools and methodologies) for use in creating solutions for the business.
  • Define and promote effective IT best practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent education and experience.
  • Four + years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex research assignments, including critical thinking, logical and comprehensive problem analysis and resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues.
  • ETL tool(s), preferably SSIS
  • Knowledge of Ralph Kimball's Enterprise Data Warehouse model preferred.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Experience in all facets of MS SQL database administration, including database design, tuning, optimization and security.
  • Programming languages and databases (.Net, API, MS SQL)
