Sales Operations Manager

The Sales Operations Manager supports the sales and implementation team in maximizing revenue, providing excellent service to client partners, expanding our impact, and operating as efficiently as possible. This individual serves as an integral connection between the sales team and business operations to ensure contracts are signed, services are delivered, revenue is booked, and payment is received. This role supports the sales and implementation team in maximizing revenue, providing excellent service to client partners, expanding our impact, and operating as efficiently as possible. As such, this role is focused on building processes and optimizing procedures to ensure continuous improvement, streamlined operations, and maximization of sales force time and efforts.



  • Become the internal expert on processes and systems related to Onsite Training sales, including CRM
  • Proactively seek opportunities to streamline processes, propose solutions, collaborate with stakeholders to implement change, and train the team on expectations
  • Find ways to optimize existing CRM while looking ahead to eventual replacement
  • Drive discovery, requirements gathering, implementation, and rollout of new CRM (in future)



  • Provide regular reports to the Account Executives as well as create ad hoc reports as requested
  • Send weekly updates on progress to goal to each AE and management team
  • Track delivery of services against goals to keep track of commissions owed
  • Provide data to finance and executive team to inform forecasting and budgeting
  • Maintain sales team budget (travel, events, samples), keep the AEs apprised of their spending, and meet monthly with finance and executive team to discuss and take action as needed



  • Build transparency into Account Executive travel by maintaining shared calendar
  • Create and deploy desktop marketing campaigns to funding recipients on behalf of AE
  • Manage CRM processes, including entering orders and updating opportunities as needed
  • Provide regular updates on Public Event registration to help sales team determine attendance
  • Collaborate with marketing to deploy sales outreach ahead of trips
  • Provide excellent service through pre-event check-ins with clients and presenters and post-event follow-up with survey results (in collaboration with AE)
  • Manage implementation evaluation surveys, compilation and distribution of EP survey data. Send to clients on behalf of AE when requested.
  • Partner with Account Executive and Sales & Implementation Associate to ensure accurate and timeline compliance paperwork is kept and distributed for key accounts
  • Manage international presenter approval process
  • Collaborate with team to vet respond to RFPs
  • Provide funding updates to the team from MarketView



  • Associates degree preferred, a minimum of 1-2 years of sales support experience; 3-5 years of experience with Crystal and/or SQL reporting, CRM software is strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate technology knowledge and skills are required, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. We require expert knowledge of and ability to do ad hoc reporting from Microsoft Dynamics CRM using advanced queries.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and support multiple sales tools and resources.  Attention to detail and the ability to check for accuracy and validation quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well interdepartmentally to get materials created and shipped.  Ability to shift focus quickly and effectively and be able to prioritize and organize support requests on the fly.
