Inside Sales Representative

Inside Sales 

Works effectively and efficiently to maintain and generate revenue within assigned territory. Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales and market penetration.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and generate revenue within assigned territory
  • Complete personal sales targets within the assigned customer segment.
  • Implement sales campaigns
  • Conduct outbound and email sales, cross-selling and upselling efforts.
  • Create, maintain and move opportunities through the sales pipeline
  • Input and maintain customer data in appropriate systems (i.e. customer relationship management systems, Salesforce etc.)
  • Create quality resolutions for customer needs and issues; escalate issues as appropriate to meet customer needs
  • Attend conferences and customer events to support territory as appropriate
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information and proven sales strategies.
  • Proactively assess customer needs to recommend items or alternatives to improve transaction profitability and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions such as quotes 
  • Maintain current customer notes, leveraging technology, to follow-up with customers and ensure a quality experience.
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products and technology to improve product-related sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Cultivate and maintain on-going customer relationships.
  • Present sales presentations in person or virtually as appropriate
  • Experienced in Inbound Marketing
  • Effectively handle situations which may require adaptation of responsive or extensive research according the customer needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of pricing policies, state contracts, quotes, special sales and marketing offers.
  • May require up to 10% travel.


  • Bachelors’ Degree or commensurate work experience in sales
  • 3 years’ experience in a sales environment
  • Strong sales background with quantifiable track record
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Proficiency with office software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Skype, online events software (i.e. Go to Webinar)
  • Experience in Salesforce is a plus
