Senior Marketing Associate, Paid Media

The Senior Marketing Associate, Paid Media is responsible for managing strategy, as well as day-to-day performance, tracking, reporting and optimizations of Highlights’ acquisition marketing channels (to include Display, Paid Search, and Paid Social). The candidate should be a subject matter expert within each of the assigned channels and provide on-point recommendations to optimize the channels from regular analysis and recommending midcourse corrections along the way.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee execution for our external paid search program through our outside agency. This includes interpreting brand strategies to the agency, communicating expectations with cross-functional partners, managing deliverables and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Personally execute all activities for management of display and paid social marketing of all Highlights consumer products, including digital apps, utilizing existing platform tools and third-party tools as needed.
  • Analyze performance of existing marketing programs and provide clear insights / key takeaways to guide go-forward business decisions 
  • Responsible for day-to-day hind-sighting activities across assigned marketing channels; provide clear and concise perspective that diagnose performance outcomes and supports decisions to optimize
  • Stays up to date on trends within the online advertising industry and introduce new innovative ways to execute within the channels.
  • Responsible for all aspects of digital marketing reporting on assigned channels; including recurring and ad hoc reporting support
  • Lead the development of reporting optimizations to allow the organization react accurately and quickly when midcourse corrections are merited 
  • Collaboratively work with other key stakeholders (creative, finance, analytics, marketing leaders) to ensure reporting activities are optimized for accuracy 
  • Work closely with Marketing leaders to establish accurate, forecast projections across all assigned marketing channels
  • Partner with key stakeholders in finance to identify gaps between marketing forecasts and finance goals; provide clear guidance on activities that are impacting the gaps
  • Provide regular updates to the business when key activities shift 
  • Support the development of business cases through channel/source level P&L development 
  • Partner with key stakeholders in modeling performance outcomes for various marketing initiatives, tests, etc.
  • Provide support for business presentations
  • Perform deep dives into marketing channel performance as needed 

Qualifications:

  • B.S./B.A. in Marketing or other Business discipline, MBA preferred
  • 4-5 years business experience (preferred ecommerce environment)
  • 3+ years in an analytical role directly supporting Paid Search, Paid Social, Display and/or Affiliate Programs 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with complex data sets and drawing effective conclusions & key insights
  • Firsthand experience in forecasting, driving P&Ls and supporting business case development 
  • Advanced Excel skills, SAS / SQL a plus but not required
  • Experience in retail a plus
